Quieting the Vrttis(distractions) and Cultivating Negative Thoughts into Positive Thoughts
Rebecca is co-director of the Center for Well-Being in Lemont, PA. She has been practicing and teaching yoga since the 1970s and studies regularly in Pune, India, with the Iyengar family. She has mentored and trained teachers in the Iyengar tradition both in the US and abroad and has inspired students worldwide. Rebecca was just in Pune this past June and received a higher level of certification directly from Geeta Iyengar making her an Advanced Junior I certified teacher.
Attendance of the entire workshop is encouraged but not required. Priority will be given to students who register for the whole workshop. While this workshop is an All Levels workshop it is not appropriate for students that have never practiced Shoulder Stand(with 3 blankets and a strap) or Headstand at the wall. It is also not appropriate if you have a MAJOR medical or physical condition that will prevent you from doing poses. Students of varying experience and from different traditions are welcome!

Forward Extensions, Twists and Inversions • Learn to create space within seated forward bends and twists. Experience the dynamic actions of inversions that lead to balance and mental quietude in these postures.
Sat Dec 7: 9:30 am-12:30-pm
Standing poses, Balance poses, and Inversions• Standing postures are the foundation – they help us improve the basics of how we stand and move. They help to gain confidence and strength. Learn to stand on your own two feet! Learn to conquer fear and support yourself on your hands and arms with compactness and lightness
Sat Dec 1: 3:00 - 5:30 pm
Restorative Poses and Pranayama • Experience relaxation poses that remove fatigue and bring the mind inward towards a state of peace and repose. Classic pranayama will be taught for all levels.
Sun Dec 2: 9:00am-11:30 am
Backbends, and Inversions Explore backbends, opening the front body and strengthening the back body. Go right to the heart of yoga with a backbend practice. Experience inverted poses and “stand” on your head, hands and shoulders! Inversions bring balance to the system and help to quiet the mind. Learn how to create awareness and go beyond your limits within reason.
ENTIRE WEEKEND: $275 (after 11/22 $300)

Priority will be given to those that sign up for the ENTIRE WEEKEND, however if you are unable to commit to the entire weekend, and if space permits, the individual cost per session is as follows:
